Soccer Places Four on C-USA All-Academic Team

HOUSTON — Defenders Mijke Roelfsema and Caleigh Page, midfielder Delaney Schultz and goalkeeper Bella Killgore have been named to the 2021 Conference USA All-Academic Second Team, the league announced Friday evening.
 
Roelfsema makes the team for the second straight season. She is a Psychological Science major with a 3.85 GPA. Prior to an injury, she played in the first 12 matches, never coming off the field. She helped limit all opponents to 13.8 shots per game and just 5.9 shots on goal per game while recording two assists.
 
Page has a 3.91 GPA in Statistics and Sport Management. She has played in 96.3-percent of the team's minutes this year on the backend. The Los Altos, Calif., native has a career-best five assists and seven points. Against Houston Baptist, she scored the game-winning goal.
 
Schultz is on the team for the second straight year. She is double-majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences, earning a 3.70 GPA. She leads the team in goals, assists and points. The St. Louis, Mo., native is second in Conference USA with nine goals and 25 points and third with seven assists while leading the league with four game-winning goals.
 
A two-time member of the All-Academic team, Killgore is a Chemical Engineering major with a 3.71 GPA. She has played every minute of the season, leading C-USA with 95 saves, 5.59 saves per game and an 84.8% save percentage. She has a .944 goals against average and, against North Texas, made the second-most saves in school history corralling 14 shots.
 
Rice begins the Conference USA Tournament next Wednesday, Nov. 3, when it faces Middle Tennessee in Boca Raton, Fla. The match is scheduled for 10 a.m. on ESPN+
